Regular Breathing
In a standing position, the employee shall breathe normally through the mouth for 1 minute. Using the nebulizer with the fit test solution administer the number of squeezes based on their Taste Threshold.
Taste Threshold
Taste threshold of 10 – 10 initial sprays and 5 sprays every 30 seconds after
Taste threshold of 20 – 20 initial sprays and 10 sprays every 30 seconds after
Taste threshold of 30 – 30 initial sprays and 15 sprays every 30 seconds after
When squeezing the nebulizer make sure the nebulizer is held upright and that the bulb is fully compressed and then allow the bulb to fully expanded before squeezing again. This will ensure the proper amount of solution is dispersed.
